When I was around 10 years old, my parents gave me a three-volume children's Bible that I keep as a small treasure among the books in my personal library. I eagerly devoted myself to reading it, facilitated by an easy-to-understand text accompanied by full-color illustrations. For the first time I was able to consider, from the particular vision of the Catholic religion, how the world was created , what Genesis consisted of, the miracle of the creation of everything around us, including ourselves. But in a singular way, it was its first page that attracted all my attention , to the point that even after more than 50 years, that experience that has transcendently marked me continues to live. That blank page contained nothing more than a Fax Lists brown margin and at the bottom of it the following inscription: “In the beginning NOTHING existed . ” Despite my young age, I questioned the reasons for things and tried to find an explanation . However, I couldn't understand how it was possible that at a time in our history there was simply nothing, not the Universe, not the galaxies, not the stars, not the planets. The Earth did not exist either. There were no seas, mountains, rivers, lakes, sky, clouds, animals, people. But how could it be possible? This existential doubt has accompanied me to this day and when I even try to give it a rational answer, I fail in the attempt, it simply surpasses me, exceeds my capacity for understanding . Not even from a religious, physical or metaphysical perspective do I see myself capable of being able to answer it.
